What We're About
We know that the most important part of effective therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. Each of the therapists here are warm, human, highly-skilled professionals. Our training is rigorous and requires us to wrestle with the most human aspects of ourselves before sitting across from you in the therapy room.
We don't believe in judgment, telling you what's best for your life, or applying shame. We know that people connect with their courage and their answers when they feel safe, listened to and that they matter.
The title Marriage & Family Therapist might suggest that we only work with couples and families, but VFT therapists help individuals, relationships and families (in any shape, size or style) achieve courageous change.
What Happens Next?
After you reach out by phone, text or email, we usually reply within a couple of hours during regular business hours, Mon-Fri.
(Please be patient, we don't have a receptionist yet!)
We'll ask a few questions like:
Do you direct bill?
The most common question we're asked!
Insurance plans vary widely, so please contact your insurer with questions about how yours works. Let them know you plan to see a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) to be sure our services are covered.
MFT is not the same as a Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker, and we might be biased, but we think Marriage and Family Therapists are awesomer (yep, AWESOMER!).
